What's so good about our copper bottles?
Our first collection at Fallen Leaves features hand made copper water bottles and the purpose behind this collection was simple- an aesthetically pleasing product that's good for the people who use it and also for the environment. We partnered with a small artisanal family in the northern region of India, who have been in the copper handicraft industry for generations. Fallen Leaves is the story of these beautiful and talented humans who smile in the face of adversity and teach us the meaning of life.
Inspired by the wisdom of Ayurveda (ancient science of medicine in India), copper vessels were and are still used in Indian homes to store water. It is believed that water stored in a copper vessel becomes positively charged and balances the three doshas (biological energies found in our body and mind) in our body- Vata, Kapha and Pitta.
Also, the anti-microbial and anti-oxidant qualities of copper boost our immunity, strengthen the digestive system and help with cell regeneration for a healthy looking skin.
For maximum health benefits, store room temperature water in your Fallen Leaves bottle for 6-8 hours or overnight and consume this water on rising on an empty stomach. Our bottle can also be used as a normal water bottle, just ensure you fill it with fresh water.
Note: If you're storing water in the bottle for 6-8 hours and drinking it for health reasons, we recommend taking a 4 week break every 3 months to prevent too much copper in your body. However, if the bottle is being used as a standard water bottle with fresh water in it, you can continue to use.
